Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer and director who is famous for his role as the lead of Birdman. A versatile actor he is adept at playing comedic in addition to dramatic characters. His professional career has seen him has performed a range of romantic roles and also appeared in action thrillers. His interest in the performing arts started in his teens. He tried stand up comedy when he was in his early 20s. Even though his stand-up act wasn't a success, it did to open the way for his acting. Inability to make it in the field of comedy, he picked on a position as cameraman on television at a cable channel. The job at the station is where he realized the only thing he really wanted was to perform on camera. When he was offered a part on television, he appeared in numerous episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. The natural talents of the actor helped him become a household name on television. He launched a film career with great ambitions and found considerable fame with his comedic roles. The actor gained further recognition when he portrayed the eponymous character from Tim Burton's Batman. With time he matured as an actor, and ventured into production and direction. He was awarded numerous nominations and awards for his performance in the film Birdman.
